Default RPM problem

We have a 2000 Honda Accord 2 door. We bought it from someone that kept it up and it had low mileage (we have 93,000 miles on it now). When we first bought the car, the following week after some starts and stops going shopping we got in the car and the RPM's went up, the lights went on the RPMs came down and the car shut off completely. It happened again last night, but the last time I remember it happening was last February/March coming from a doctor's visit in a parking garage. Any insight. We've taken it to a Honda dealer and we've taken it to a non-Honda dealer on several occassions and they cannot diagnose the issue.

We actually confirmed that the Check Engine light blinked 3 times last night and that there should be a code, but this morning when we took it the dealer there was no code. Any suggestions or ideas or similar experience with a solution? Thank you.

Default code 6

bull****. the dealer is evading. I say code 6 because that means someones trying to bull**** their way out of it. Do some research in the DIY section. There was a code. Dealer or whoever got rid of it.

Lightbulb I Agree With OHD

I think they are evading the codes for some unforeseen issue or reason.

Take your car to an AutoZone and they will pull the codes for you for Free and they will also tell you what they mean..

Code 6 makes sense. I'm not sure why they'd evade it since if they fix it would be money in their pocket -- but it definately seems like they are. I knew there would be a few people out there that would know if I explained it -- not sure why the dealer and the other place couldn't figure it out. Thanks for the quick responses.
