Runs for 10 seconds, then dies for 10 hours?
The ignition switch feeds the blk/yel wire. The wire splits and goes to both the coil and the ignition control module. If one has 12V, then the ignition switch is providing power.
The ignition control module is underneath the distributor cap. It has 4 wires going to it. Download the 94 shop manual from the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section. It will have some basic tests for the ICM.

Makes sense. I couldn't really get to the ECM because I can't pull back the carpet enough to get the cover off.

It arrived, put it in and it fired right up.

Now we just need to deal with the missing hubcaps. And the shattered turn signal. And the door that's all bashed to hell from a city bus. And the hood that a 40lb icicle fell on. And the complete lack of a muffler. And the dirty interior.
Oh boy, a lot of work before we can sell it. If I were him, I'd keep it -- It's only got 121,000 miles and runs beautifully.
