Default Secret to removing the jack tool?

The Honda jack tool / scissor jack in the trunk on the sidewall is stuck.

At least I think it is. Is there some kind of secret I have to know to remove it? I've tried pulling it up and out, sideways and out, it's like it's fused on to the car.

Maybe the jack activated inside? How do I deflate the jack? Never used a scissor type jack, only a hydraulic floor jack.

Turn that part of the scissor jack with the hole counter-clockwise. It might be tight; but, should loosen.
