Default small piece of plug, possibly down in cylinder?????

96 accord 2.2 5 speed, lx non vtec f22b2 ,

did a compression test today, when pulled plugs, there was oil on them badly, so i decided to change valve cover gasket as well, one plug was broked and missing a small piece of the porcelin piece, possibly in the cylinder?? will this hurt the engine?? also when tightening down the valve cover, one of the four bolts made a pop sound and now does not tighten down all the way what can i do to make it tighten like it should, ran the engine for 30 minutes did not see any oil leakinig out, all help and suggestions is appreaciated.

EDIT, i am not sure any part of the broken plug is in the cylinder, i did however as a precaution stick a vaccum cleaner wand attachment down into it to see if anything came out, and nothing did, i dunno guess i'll find out by how the car drives

Sounds like you over torqued the valve cover bolt, you either stripped the bolt or stripped the thread. Go and take the bolt out see if it is stripped, if it isn't try running a tap into the hole, maybe you can fix it.

Duct-tape asmall hose onto vacuum cleaner; stick down into the spark plug hole.

If there is a piece of the plug in the cylinder, that's bad. It's not a good idea to run the engine until you know that there's nothing in there.

A fancy engine shop may have one of these to examine the inside of the cylinder:

Also,a tool rental place may possibly have a boroscope for rent.

well i had no option, did as much precuationary steps i could to make sure there was nothing down in the cylinder, so i had to drive it to get to work and it is driving fine, actually alot better than it was, i guess nothing fell into the cylinder, as far as the valve cover bolt, it's on there and it's not leaking so i am gonna baby it and watch it closly until saturday when i can repair it

Trust me on this one, if the porcelin from the plug was in the cylinder you would have heard it when you started the engine.
A piece the size of a fingernail clipping will make a high pitched rattle noise, loud enough that other techs 3 stalls away will come over to see what you did wrong to that engine. LOL
