steering vibrate on hard braking in accord 98

Default steering vibrate on hard braking in accord 98

Good day to you all my friends in the forum, i am using honda accord 1998. 4cylinders. Auto trans,. Whenever i brake at 100km/hr the steering handle vibrates seriously. I have done the wheel balance and alignment yet no good result, could it be brake pads or what else

Under "light" braking at the same speed - does the same thing happen?

There are a number of things it could be - rotors, wheel hub/bearing, suspension ......

Thanks for replying. under light braking it doesn't occur except on hard braking. what parts should I replaced brake pad or rotor

I wouldn't replace anything just yet.

Inspect the suspension parts, under a hard load they could be weak enough to give a vibration. Pull the tire and inspect the calipers and pads....while there you could grease the slide pins.

In my experience the most common cause of this is warping of the front rotors.turning or replacing ofyen solves the problem. that being said the last time that this happened on my Accord I had a torn bushing in my lower front control arm.
So before you just start replacing stuff do a complete inspection of front suspension.
