Default timing belt noise?

I just got a timing belt put on a 99 Accord lx coupe 4cyl. now the belts make a whistling, whining kind of a noise, it's the loudest when at idle. The engine seems tight but does run ok.
I took it back and was they heard the noise and said its is from the timing belt but there is no adjustments because it is auto-tension system. over time the belt will stretch and the noise should stop.
That doesn't sound right to me? any one know if there is a way to adjust the belt thanks for your help JIM

The belt is not auto-tensioning.

The belt-tensioning spring only acts during the adjustment process, then you tighten the tensioner-lock-nut to lock the tensioner in position. Did you have this done at a shop that knows Hondas?

However... It's not real unusual for a new belt to whine a bit at first (depending on how loud it really is).

you might want to ask them how they adjusted the belt ,, and,, also if they left a 10mm bolt installed on the tensioner ,,,,,,,,,was this a Honda shop ?? dealer or specializing in Hondas ??

I'll place my bet.......
The counterbalance belt is too tight.
