Does everyone recommend having the Honda dealership do the work? Has anyone had any problems with their work? Cause I know its a easy thing to mess up

I normally stay away from the dealer unless its something that only they can do(mainly newer cars when its computer related).

Their labor prices are normally pretty high, I know my local dealer is around $120/hr which is insane in my opinion. Independent mechanics are usually in the $50-75/hr range.

Timing belts on the F22 aren't overly difficult to do, I've done several myself and I am by no means the most mechanically inclined person. But if it is done wrong it can be catastrophic. If you have an independent mechanic you trust I would have them do it.

That is not a bad price at all.

Actually I have never heard of a dealer charging that little.

I think you should take them up on the job.

Just to compare I paid $400 total using ebay parts and paying a guy who works on the side out of his house.

$550 at the dealer with OEM parts is a GOOD DEAL!

That is about what my dealer charges. I got the 105k service though, which is more. But, 25k miles later, things are running well.
