A friend has a 94 accord i think ex since it has a v-tec motor. it is an automatic. but the problem is that when the car is in drive the green light around the drive is on and the light around the lowest drive gear is also on. so i was wondering what the problem could be. there is also no check engine light on.

 

do D4 and D1 are illuminated? most likely it's a bad range switch. but it can be less common problems such as a bad gauge assembly, short in the wiring...
