I crashed my 03 accord about a month ago and messed up my tranny. I met a guy that smashed his and will give me his really really cheap. His is an 07 though...will it fit? Mine is a 4cl and same with his...Thanks

Also, they are both automatic transmissions and they are sedans...don't know if it matters

 

they are both k24s, but yours is a a4 his is a a8, which means his has drive by wire, if that will effect the transmission i'm not sure.

there isnt much info out about the k-series trannys yet, i would think it would work, and if its dirt cheap its worth a try

ok, cool..thanks. Also, its still in his car. About how long would it take to remove the tranny? Do i need any special tools or anything? He's got the car in the drive way and told me to get it...could i jack the car up and just drop it or....?

 

i would bring someone that knows what they are doing with you, it would be very difficult to drop it out the bottom. as with most hondas you have to drop the whole suspension out first. i would say it would probably be easier to pull it out the top
