I have a 91 Accord LX 4 cyl automatic. This weekend I changed both CV joints. Car did great. Drove it about 9 miles. Parked this morning and when I put it into drive it just sat there. Just like in neutral. When giving it gas the speedometer moves up and down, and I can feel it shifting. When putting it back into park it wants to grind. Any ideas out there. It is a one owner with 58000 orig miles.

 

Axles weren't snapped completely into the transmission?? So they've slipped outwards just enough to disengage the splines. Try snapping the axles back securely into the transmission. Sometimes it takes a good bit of force to snap into place.

You'll know right away if that's it because you'll be able to pull the axle out from the trans without much force.
