My 2011 Accord had its automatic transmission fail at 70,000 miles and was replaced under warranty. Now at 130,000 miles I have a noise that sounds like a loose heat shield that occurs between 1500 and 1600 rpm in each gear. It happens both going up through the revs and back down. No loose components have been found and it only happens when in gear.
Any ideas?

 

The heat shield around the catalytic converter is a good place to start. Look carefully around the bolts for small cracks and some rust.
