I think you'll just have to clean it up real good & seal with caulking.

 

Is water leaking in from around the plug or is that where water drops from above?

If from above, the evaporator case is filling w/ condensate from AC use and running over. Drain line repair or evaporator clean-out needed.

Tex, that's the left-side rear seat; looking in from the left-rear door. Water would have to run from the dashboard, cross over the center exhaust tunnel, then jump up to that place which is at a higher level then the front footwells.
