Whistling on acceleration, 1st gear only...???
K, this one's got me... When I accelerate in first gear, there is a whistling from the time I begin letting out the clutch until it is fully engaged. This only happens in first gear and not all the time. Not only when cold or hot, or hard or soft acceleration. It's odd. It is not super loud, and sounds as though it is coming from the pass side of vehicle in engine compartment. It will not whistle without being under acceleration (i.e. when raising RPM's with car stopped and manually operating throttle). It is more of a "ghost" sound, really. I was thinking that maybe it was the clutch, but that seems to operate correctly, and it will not make the sound when shifting into 2nd... I'm just lost on this one.

Do you have an intake?
Do you have an engine swap? (2.3 DOHC VTEC in a 98 Accord DX? - 98 DX's came stock only with a 2.3 SOHC non-VTEC engine - the f23a5)
