Default will not turn over

I have a 1999 Honda Accord LX, 6 cyl vtec engine, auto transmission, 4 door. I parked it at lunch and was fine. Now it will not turn over, no clicks or noise of any sort. All the door open indicators are on, the rear brake lite indicator is on. Substituted another battery in, no help. Checked all fuses and all good. The voltage on the battery is 12.55 volts. When the ignition is turned on to crank it, the lights do not dim and the battery voltage does not drop.

Check that all ends of both battery cables are clean and tight. Definitely check the two connections to the starter.

The starter solenoid contacts may be worn out. You can try a "caveman" test, where you have someone hold the key in the start position, while you hit the starter with the handle of a screwdriver. If the car starts, then you will likely have to repair the starter (usually the starter contacts).

I would start with finding out if you have power going to the starter solenoid when the key is in the start position on the small terminal. If you have power with the key to start then it is most likely the starter. If you don’t have power then you have to trace it back.
