Default Wiper issue

In my 2006 V-6 the wiper travel has increased and hitting both top & bottom of the wind shield. Any suggestion to fix it and what causing it.

One easy possibility is the wiper arm has come loose from it's shaft. Check the nut right at the pivot point. Loosen it, position the arm, tighten it.

Otherwise, something's loose in the mechanism under the cowling. Might have to replace some bushings that have become loose.
