96 accord wiper issue

Default 96 accord wiper issue

i have a 96 accord dx and the wipers just won't turn off. is there a way i can just disconnect the motor for now until i can take it to get repaired or maybe do it myself?

You can pull the #6 fuse in the fuse box inside the car. It is a 30 amp fuse for the wipers. It would be in the middle row and on the right hand side.

The problem could be the switch. That is pretty simple to take apart and check for problems. You can clean the contacts, then use some dielectric grease to see if that solves the problem.

In the Common DIY Threads sticky at the top of this section there is a link to a manual (I think it is labeled as a 94-which is the same gen as yours). Download that and it should help guide you thru the tests and getting to it.
