I have a 94 accord that was in a accident and the front end was totaled. I replaced the core support and all the parts that were damaged. i finally got everything put back together and it was fine for a wile. Then all of the sudden My windshield wipers turned on randomly by themselves wile i was driving. This has been going on for a week now and i have no idea whats wrong.
I NEED HELP!

Go to the DIY section, look for a sticky post about on-line manuals, & get the one for your car.

I think the wipers are powered all the time, & the switch provides ground to turn them on. Verify that with the wiring diagrams in the manual. Probably a wire is pinched which provides ground to the wiper circuit, turning it on.

 

Glad I saw this... my 94 is doing the exact same thing, i just bought it. This makes since being as though my driver-side headlight wasnt working until i disconnected the already "patched" ground wire and re-grounded it... headlight working!

I guess i'll see if I can track the ground for the wiper... unless there are any more suggestions out there

 

the ground for the wipers and headlights are on the same connector. If i can remember right there should be two, one behind each headlight. Just take the fenders off and you should see the connector right there!

 

ii have seen a bad wiper switch do that ,,, but you need to diagnose before replacing it.......wiggle the switch slightly up and down ( careful not to do it too hard or it might brake ) without turning the wipers on ,,, if wipers come on there is an indication you got a bad switch

BUT ,,,, since car was in accident could very well be a wiring issue ,, like i said you need to diagnose it
