Default Accord Performance Exhaust

Hi all,

I have a Honda Accord 2007, 4cyl 2.4L DOHC and I am looking for an exhaust system that will boost power and sound like a mangaflow.

Budget ~$850

Only adjustments made so far are lights, rims, and Short Ram K&N 69 Typhoon.

Any suggestions, if more information is needed let me know.

Thanks!

for $850 you could get some extra work done to make more power than a exhaust.
What you should do is find the muffler of choice. Then find a local exhaust shop and have them make you a MANDREL bent exhaust. Have them fit your muffler to the new exhaust. Should cost a fraction of your budget and you will have more money for better power adders.

So I'm new to modding my car, it's my first car and I decided to have some fun with it. I have no intentions of blowing the engine or putting undue stress that would otherwise harm my car.

So getting a Magnaflow Muffler, part #14829 and then the Mandrel bent exhaust. Should I replace the headers?

Also, what would be a good price to pay for something like this, again I'm not experienced.

Thanks again for the quick response, and any advice for some more power boosters seeing as that this will not cost as much as I thought?

The price on the muffler is about the right price.
Replacing the headers it up to you. I personally wouldn't spend the $300+ on a set of DC or Megan headers. I would spend the money and get a Bisimoto header made. But that’s big bucks. I just can't justify 3hp for $300+ that’s all you will get from thos headers. But if you want bisimoto header expect tp spend some good money ($600+ But the power to cash ratio will be much much better.

I would maybe look into getting better cams. But when getting cams you will need a tune. I'm not too sure how it works for you K series guys if you have to get a chipped ECU or a full staid alone EMS. I know that’s what everyone else has to do when swapping K series into another honda chassis is to go the EMS rout.
