Default Brace Underneith Air Box

Hi i have a 1998 Honda Accord LX 50th Annaversery Sedan 4cly 2.3L and i removed the airbox and added my own custom air short ram air intake, i was going to make a stainless steel straight through one instead of my old one i was just wondering about the brace just underneith the were the air box existed would that be ok to remove it bolts between the side inner guard and the base next to the battey tray? would it be ok to remove to gain clearence for my new air intake?

you should be fine to remove the airbox just make sure that if that bolt is holding anything else in place that you put it back in... even if it's not I personally like to put them back in... you never know when you'll need them!

all that brace is, is a little more structural stiffening, and a backet mount point for the air box, to properly remove it, i think you have ot take off the bumper to get to the other side because theres something holding the bolt in place, maybe a nut or a one of those snap ins. By removing it you wont have any problems, but it does help reduce some flex in the car. If you notice theres one on the other side of the engine bay too.
