Comon Now...your getting paranoid about nothing at this time, Ive had a long cold air intake for over 5 years and have never had a flood out or any water what so ever...now if you folks are driving thru 3 to 4 feet of water in streams then you just need to slow down...

yeah i agree. i've had mine for probably a year now and never been close to havin a prob. i wash my car all the time, you just cant wash it in a lake.

About those water repellent sleeves. I just got my JC Whitney catalog in the mail today and Injen makes sleeves to cover your filter that repel water. They are 30 bucks and are called Hydro-Shield Pre-Filters made by Injen. Hope that helps!
