Default Exhaust Questions

I have several questions about exhaust and feel bad asking the same guy on another thread.

First, how do aftermarket exhausts (like magnaflow) hold up in winter driving with salt on the roads etc?

Also does anyone have a cold air intake and an exhaust? How do the two sound together. I have an Injen CAI and love the sound but I'm worried adding an exhaust would sound too much. Thanks.

I have a CAI (AEM) and an exhaust and they sound awesome!! I have a Silverline Performance exhaust that comes with a sound deadening control for a more pleasant in-cab ride while still giving that deep, rich sound of the engine during acceleration, which is the MAIN reason why I purchased it!!

I have a Megan Racing header also to make my exhaust complete.

I have my ractive stainless cartback, megan header, and a short ram. the short ram sounds really mean especially at high revs. the exhaust also sounds good, really deep and throaty. magnaflow makes a good exhaust for our cars and skunk2 also has a good exhaust if they still make it. you could also source a good muffler and have a shop custom make you an exhaust.

Now as to salt, living in winter conditions like i do, i recommend stainless steel. magnaflow is stainless so youll be fine. I have a three year old system and its fine, just could use polished . try youtube for some clips to see what you like sound wise. if youre getting custom make sure you get a resonator or it will sound really raspy.
