Default intake questions

ok, so far, from what i have read, the ebay cai systems on ebay is good for daily driving as long as u put a brand name filter on it. is there any noticeable gains? would the aem bypass valve work on these? i.e. bombz

I personally wouldnt buy one of the no names, but thats just me. if you buy one, yes, make sure to put a name brand filter on it. Also, if you do get a cold air intake, you can get an AEM bypass valve. I have seen them in 3 or 4 sizes in Advance Auto sport compact catalog. I wouldnt see why they would not work.

it all depends on which type of intake you get. a sri will probably only add on 1 -2 ponies but the cai adds on more. but if you do get the cai then get the bypass so it wont hygrolock your car when its raining. also keep in mind if you live in cali. then you must get a carb exempt intake. if not then you dont have to worry about that. good luck and which ever one you get you would be happy with it.

No one on here has posted anything about having a problem with their install... A few guys who claim to have no experience working on cars have done it themselves it's a pretty easy job, Bomz seems to be the intake of choice off ebay and if you get a CAI depending on your engine size you can actually gain about 6-8 HP (name brand)
