Which auto transmissions are compatible with a 2005 Accord V6

 

There are quite a number which have interchangeable transmissions, however, some torque converters may not fit. Over in the Acura world the 5-Speed automatic from the 2006 and 2007 V6 Accord is considered to be the best of those transmissions (they carry a manufacturing code of BAYA) from a reliability perspective. That said, there was a change in the torque converter size somewhere between 2005 and 2006 (but as I understand it, early in the 2006 production run), so if you source a BAYA tranny, you may need to buy a different torque converter to get it to work.
