Default A lil advice would be nice

I jus got a Honda accord 2 door coupe vtec today this is my second Honda, I had a Honda civic ex 5 speed with short pipes cool air intake and a msd box in the glove compartment. Its been a long time since I had one and its been a like 10 years ago, I jus need some pointers on what to do for cheap performance, upgrades and tune up parts. But I'm dedicated to making a runner off a budget more or less a sleeper. my new Honda is a auto but I know I can do a few things to make it a contender out here. so any advice on websites and parts please let my know thanks

Thanks for joining HAF.

You might get a little out of it with I/H/E updates. Before that I would do all of the normal maint items, check or replace - tune up, fluids, brakes, suspension, timing belt was last replaced when?

Welcome to the forum, Disco

CAI's are always a topic of debate, most of the people who champion their advantage are in the business of selling them. One can get the same results for zero $... i.e. intake sound and less restricted air flow simply by removing the intake baffles. Proper headers & exhaust does make a difference in HP, but is the gain worth the cost? Only the investor can decide

Welcome to the site. I also have a 96 vtec accord, The only mods I have is a drop in K-N air filter in the stock air box,,and Borla cat back exhaust...I scored the eshaust at a pick n pull for $50.00 and the air filter for $45.00 Anything else will only benefit upper rpm range,,like 4500-6500,,how often willl you run that hard,,especially with a auto trans?? Mine is plenty quick,,If I want to go fast I jump in the truck,,good luck,,enjoy the site and your Honda.
