Hello all, my introduction post. I recently purchased a 1995 Accord LX sedan with 159,000 original miles on it. It has never been modded at all, not even window tint! That in itself I find unusual because I am in Arizona. I am amazed that absolutely everything in this car works, right down to the OEM cassette player. I truly have a blank canvas with which to work. Already I have replaced the front marker/turn signal and headlight lenses, upgraded all the exterior lights with LED bulbs, replaced the speakers with JBL's tinted the windows and have ordered 17x7.5 wheels with 215/45/17 tires that will arrive on Thursday. I will further upgrade the stereo to a double din unit with Bluetooth capability, a backup camera, 5 channel amp and compact subwoofer. I'm not going for anything over the top, just better-quality sound. The engine runs great, but the 4 speed auto shifts a little hard. I will be going through the mechanicals over time to make sure all of the systems are up to snuff and to keep this little gem as reliable as its reputation warrants. It has several dings and dents, nothing major, and doesn't appear to have been in any collisions. It is light blue, still shiny and not even any fading or peeling of the clear coat. I feel it is worth the investment, as I intend to use it primarily for commuting (50 miles per day), until I retire in about 6 years, so keeping it reliable is a must. This will also keep milage down on my newer vehicle and also serves as a backup vehicle in case of an unforeseen mishap. My first weekly MPG calculation was 29.6 MPG, so quite happy about that.
