Default Return to Honda

I just picked up a leftover 2007 Accord yesterday. Traded in my 2006 Passat 2.0T, started becoming too much of a headache. After 2 Passats, I had more problems between those 2 cars than I had with 3 Hondas combined!!![:@] But it feels good to be back in a Honda. I'm also a member of VWvortex, at times can be a pretty tough place!

I am looking for some nice replacement wheels, can't wait to get rid of the steelies. Any ideas where/what I can get asa deal for OEM alloys? Thanks.

Welcome to the HAf...glad you joined up with us...do you want to look at a set of aftermarket wheels or are you wanting to really stay stock on the size...

Glad you returned to your roots. VW's are notorious forbreaking down all the time. You can't enjoy your car if you can't drive it!

Picked up an LX, pretty base, but the numbers were right. Color is the Darker blue, I believe Royal Blue? Gray interior. I'd like to see how hard it would be to swap out the deck for the XM capable, but it looks like it might be more of a cost than just adding aftermarket XM. I like the stock 15" Alloys, maybe even some 16-17" but I'd like to put the brand new tires to work instead of dumping more money for another new set. I'm trying to figure out where I can find the best price for OEM's. Any insight is appreciated.

As far as owning the VW, excellent vehicle. You don't get the gadgets in a honda that you do in a VW, butit seemed that much of those gadgets that were impressive, are equallyunimpressive to have break. I can live with the smaller quirks, but when they turn into multiple visits to the dealer that can get annoying. You know the funny thing is that while owning hondas I never knew my Service Advisor by first name. Everytime I pulled into the VW service dept, they already had my paperwork out and asked "What do we need to look at today?"

I liked my VWs. 1982 & '86 with 5-spds & hand-crank windows. Sounds like they aren't quite as bulletproof these days?
