2012 accord severe road noise
I've run any number of different Michelin models of tires on my cars, some are quiet, some aren't; in my experience, all of the Pilot models are pretty noisy.
The macpherson strut system handles NVH much better, there is a reason Subaru and the europeans have been using it. Also they are now using Michelin Primacy and Firestone Affinity touring tires. The newPrimacy is a much better Michelin tire.
On top of that all 2013 Accords come with Active Noise Control (ANC) and Active Sound Control (ASC).
You can bet its going to be a lot quieter in the new Accord.

I'm running Firestone 480's on one of my Hyundai Sonata's and they are very quiet and are good grippers in the winter..

I think there is something wrong with the car - some type of defect. One of the big improvements I noted when I test drove my 2011 Accord is how much quieter it was than my 2008. I recently test drove a 2013 Accord & it was even quieter.
I've owned 1989 & 1991 LX's & neither had such a problem.
I'd contact Honda of North America. They might convince the dealer to do something about it.

Update: just back from Toyota dealership here in Richmond Hill Ontario, test drove Camry 2012 SE, this car has the same road noise, the drive wasn't that spectacular, smooth ride, but the Accord has better control and handling, what's worse, they offered to buy the Accord for 18K, I walked out and not going back there
After reading what you said.. I don't feel guilty about it any more. I would much rather feel in control while driving.
Strangely though, I have driven hundreds of BMWs... and they are far superior at 70+ compaired to the Accord. but, they are out of my price range. So I am very happy with what I have in the Accord.
If I could afford a BMW.. I would buy that
I never did drive a Camry, but was feeling guilty after reading all the post of how much quieter the Camry was compaired to the Accord.

Seriously? How does the new front suspension negate the FWD torque steer?
Update:
Ok, I finally took the car in for warranty work yesterday.
The noise is noted by all Accord owners and Honda America, (not dealer) will not address it. (according the the service advisor that also believes there's a noise but can't do anything because Honda will not anny up)
He did say they changed to Michlen tires in 2013 that made it better. He suggested adding insolation in the wheel wells. That is the route I am going.
As for the lower door seals, (see prior post ) He liked that idea I was doing and was going to suggest it to others. It is on the 2013 models. AND it helps keep the door seals clean from road splash.
my second correction for noise is to replace tires.. which I will do when these wear out.
I am very thankful the roads where I drive do not create the road noise I heard when returning from the beach. But the normal road noise I hear around where I drive is fairly normal. I can live with the occsional excess road noise on that one patch of road.
I still love the car and it has many many more plus than minus compaired to other brands.

It has some advantages I really liked..Back up camera and outside temp sensor., but when I returned to my 2012 Accord... I liked it much better. (and I really didn't think I would)
