Well written... and a great selection of autos

 

1976 Pontiac Astre. Chevy Vega clone. The car from hell. Reliability and workmanship was unbelievable. (Bad) These cars sold more Honda's and Toyota's than their add budgets ever did. 85 Ford Tempo, 2 door 5 speed. Good car, great interior. 95 Neon. Fast and great handling. Very fun to drive. 04 Toyota Matrix. The car Toyota forgot about. No soul, no personality. 5 speed manual self-destructed. $$$ Most did of that year or two. '11 Ford Fiesta 5 speed. The car itself was nice enough, but unreliable. 17 problems in less than four years. I didn't know anyone made cars this bad anymore. '14 Honda Accord 6 speed manual. Best car so far. Much faster than the Fiesta, yet gets only about 3 mpg's less.

17 problems in 4 years with the Fiesta? Wasn't that the car that Ford advertised as a 'World Car'?... which actually meant that the parts were manufactured in countries all over the planet, right?

 

Even as Fords became more global, they didn't use the term "world car" any more...
