idling
Three years ago tonight I sank my car through the ice on a lake. Just drove the same one to the store, that's a Honda. I have this idling problem where when in Park, my auto-93-F22A will rev, rev, rev, rev on its own, it's like a throttle limiter or something, my mechanic told me once but I forgot what it is.

RE: idling
You're driving the same car you sank? Thats amazing! It doesn't rev to redline in park does it? Surging idle can be caused my either the Fast Idle Thermo Valve or the Idle Air Control Valve, both on the backside of the intake manifold. Usually a good cleaning of the ports and sensors will do the trick.

RE: idling
No it just revs between 500 and 1500 or so. Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try!
Sure did, the car was completely submerged for about 5 days, see for yourself. http://jessecolter.com/images/waterworld2/index.htm
I pulled everything apart, put heaters on it for 6 months and then, no problem. Wheel bearings have dust seals, not water seals. That all it needed. It's a story.
