Alright fatty,
Looked @ the alternator connection and theres no corrosion there either.

look @ this link:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...n+A8002T.html#

Then click on the picture and you can see ALL of my controls. What should everything be set on?

I was messing w/ everything today and I guess the subwoofer is clipping? It makes an odd sound when it hits really hard, you can sort of hear it in that video I posted. So I turned off the bass boost and then turned the level to max and the sub wasnt even close to loud.

So far, my car is about 30 lbs, permanently heavier, but quieter in the back. Next up is the floor and firewall, then front doors ...... 100 sqft isn't going to be enough.

Whoa whoa never turn your levels to max, never even pass the half way point, that is guaranteed clipping. Honestly I wouldn't expect a noob to pick out clipping in bass, some think it's just how the sub sounds at high volumes. Clipping sounds nothing like "clipping" a clicking sound is your suspension crapping out on you, which is exactly what these cheap subs do. Clipping is just a surge of current from the amplifier, which the sub and amp are not designed for. It also adds noise and distortion to speakers and subs. In speakers clipping has almost a fuzzy sound to it.

As for what to set the amp to I'm just going to from left to right.
1. LPF is your low pass filter, which is used for your sub settings. Set it anywhere between 55hz and 80hz, 60hz is a good starting point.
2. Set the crossover to LPF, full and HPF are only to be used with speakers.
3. Ignore the HPF settings, it's not being used with the LPF on.
4. You can put the bass boost on, but with your sub on the way out maybe you should leave it off.
5. Sub sonic filter is always nice to have, set it between 25hz and 30hz.
6. And your gains should be at about a quarter even with 2v preouts, maybe a scratch more. The proper way to set your amp is to get some test tones or a consistent song, and set it so it is putting out what it is rated for. You would measure the voltage than the amps, and figure the wattage. Only problem is you don't know what to look for since, god knows what this amp is really capable of putting out cleanly.

^ That is basically what I have everything on right now. Nothing is turned up more than 1/3. But on the LPF filter, I have it set to 60hz on my headunit and also on the amplifier. Is this okay or should I turn one off?

The only time I turned it to max (for about 15 seconds) was when I had the bass boost turned off. Even then I was getting LITTLE bass, as in, when I sat in the car I could barely hear it and couldn't feel it. It was a little more powerful than bass from 6x9's.

If you are sure that is a low pass Xover on the HU, than yes set the amp to full, and use the HU controls.

Well I have no idea how much the bass is being boosted, since it's just a switch, but if your not getting good bass with it off then leave it on.
