finished the oil pan gasket change yesterday morning ... it took several hours, mainly due to cleaning (external) oil/grease off the parts from previous oil leaks, and from scraping the old gasket off the pan.

In all I paid $550. $200 for the faces to get powdercoated. Then $350 to repair and polish the lips, powdercoat the barrels, and assemble everything.

I just got the wheels back last night too. Here's a comparison of old vs new

A couple more quick shots before the sun went down. Gonna spend my next free day dialing in the rear camber and getting the ride height to where I want it all around. Need to order a front camber kit too. And also find another pair of 235/40s so I can get rid of the 215/45s. But overall I couldn't be happier with how the wheels came out, and it feels like Christmas. Even though they aren't "new" they are about as new as an old set of wheels can get.

As they currently sit, the wheels are 17x9 all around at +42mm up front (47mm + 5mm spacer), and +35 in the rear. I'll be ordering ARP studs for the front, so I can buy a set of 12mm hubcentric spacers, and achieve +35mm all around. Plus a little extra brake clearance ain't a bad thing lol.

Not long ago i took my ride to have the tires balanced,,as it had a vibration at 60-70mph,,shop says tires are fine and dont know why it is shaking,,took it back,,same shop,,same results,,well i took it to a 2nd shop,,had tires balanced,,rotated,,no more shake,,i will not be going back to my old tire shop,,,hasnt drove this good in a yr or so,,happy, happy , happy,,,,

spent some free time today getting my rear camber adjusted, and lowering the car back down a bit. Super happy where it sits until I can get a wider set of tires.

Splash guards on the 16 Pilot, does that count

Well I only got the front ones on before it left....I hope it will sit still long enough for me to get the rear ones on today

Sorry, I've been delinquent ... this is what I've done in the last month or so:

* Car broke an axle (was knocking). I replaced the axle, bearing and lower ball joint on the drivers side four weeks back. Not only did I fix the knock, but a freeway vibration went away as well as some "slop" in the transmission during 3-4 shifts. The A1 Cardone reman definitely seems to be solid. Timken bearings, Honda ball joint.

* Also at that time the Duralast battery finally gave out. A quick online purchase at Pep Boys and I had a nice new Bosch 5yr battery in the car for under $100.

* Three weeks back finally reinstalled the Koni STR.Ts which I had sent back to the distributor for replacements. Turns out my originals may not have had a problem, but they sent me replacements anyway. The STR.T are definitely tighter on rebound than the stock shocks ... but probably not tighter on compression. I think if I were to do this again with a Honda I would probably try out the Tokico Illumina.

* Two weeks ago I replaced the driver door window regulator ... the A1 Cardone reman was getting really loose and the window wouldn't seal properly (rode outside the weather strip.) I bought a Tyc from Rockauto ... it seems pretty solid and the window seals perfectly now, and the motor seems to have pep.

* Last weekend I replace the heater and air mix cables in the car, as well as the firewall rubber grommet. It took a couple of hours but was doable and a good learning experience.
