oops I meant CUT the bottom off. F the tubes and baffles. Your filter will stop all the dirty air. CUT the WHOLE bottom off the air filter box.

Oh alright that sounds good! But I want to get rid of the baffles to get a bit more sound out of it (I'm so used to the sound of an SRI that I don't know if I can go back ) so what should I use to plug those holes? They're further up the tube than the filter so they'll just be sucking in dirty air.

My bad when I mend "f the baffles" I meant get rid of them. What holes are you talking about. The ones that the tubes connect to? Or does your intake have the stupid piece of plastic half way down the tube that comes off and leaves a hole? I'm trying to picture the 5th gen intake in my head. Have not seen one in a L O N G T I M E. lol

The stupid piece of plastic half way down the tube. There are 2 and they leave a 2" gaping hole in the tube when you take them out. One goes to a small control box under the tube with a butterfly valve in it, the other is just to quiet the intake down I assume.

Haha alright I'll just try for a decent rubber stopper at work and if I can't find that I'll go get myself some 1" thick rubber and cut it to size! Should be an interesting project.

washed it, used G3 scratch remover, applied a few places, then polished it, then super polished it and I am now knackered

after 2 hours of solid elbowing, this is the result (used T-Cut on the head lights and it brought it to life

I had to replace the water inlet hose for the heater core after developing a coolant leak. Today I am headed to the coin op car wash to scrub the bugs and bird crud off. Then vacuum and detail the interior, clean all glass, recheck all fluids...You know, guy stuff...

Yesterday I hand washed my car twice over and used a clay bar on it for the first time. I'm in love with the clay bar. Made my car feel so amazingly smooth!

Tomorrow I plan on spraying Plasti Dip on quite a few parts, replacing my distributor cap and rotor and changing my oil.
