replacing steering rack?
it won't be in the way, the rack will slip past that, also it will be easier to remove the ouetr tie rods ends before you take the rack off the car .. count the turns for each side and write it down someplace , then when you have to reinstall them in the new rack , put them in the same amount of turns,, it won't be exact but it is a good starting point , trying to keep the steering wheel as close to center as possible,, before you have car aligned
