Take a look at www.tirerack.com & see what they have to fit your car. Even if you don't buy from them, it can get you started with what kind of LOOK you like.

Depends on alot. What type of driving you like to do, the weather you drive in, and comfort level ... I have the same car (I use for a commuter), but the thing R O L L S around the corners pretty badly. But I have stock 15" steelies.
I'd like to know what wheel size will fit? I know 5 x 114.3 ... but what OFFSET is acceptable? I have a chance to grab a set of nice looking 16's with a 60mm offset ... Seems to be a big offset? Will they stick out from my fender wells??

Big offset goes in the other direction. Larger offset puts the wheels more inboard, resulting in a narrower track.
If you get small offset, then the wheels are more outboard.
Again, check out TireRack website. Offset should be listed in the specs for all the wheels that show up as fitting your car. I kinda remember 40-ish numbers but not real sure about that.
