In principle this can be repaired w/ drilled hole-stops at each end, grinding a groove for welding, and welding w/ aluminum filler metal. However, I think your repair cost might approach a used wheel.

good luck

I agree, I'm thinking a nice reconditioned wheel would be a better bet in this case.

I was just talking to my coworker how I thought it could just be welded or something. I sent out a couple emails for quotes. This one response said $160 to repair it. Which is close to the $200 I found for the wheel.

That $160 for repair of the crack sounds more suspicious than $200 for a reconditioned wheel.

I expected that recondition-places could only deal with bent lips & paint damage. I'm a bit surprised that they would take on a cracked wheel.

Yeah so I spoke to someone from one of the places that I was going to buy a reconditioned tire to see if they did some type of co-pay if I sent in my bad tire. He told me only if they could fix it and asked me to send him a pic. I sent him the picture and he told me that it could not be repaired because where it's cracked is thin, so even if they did repair it, it's very likely for it to crack again. He said I should be weary of anyone willing to fix that kind of crack...

So I guess I will buy my wheel from
Hubcap Haven: ALY98541/170074 Honda Accord Wheel Grey Machined #42700T3LA92
they seem to have the cheapest price for my wheel.
