well i rather not cut. I just have to look for the right size screen, So it fits perfect with not to much mods. But that nav pic i posted, It looks alot bigger than the opening i have. I might have to take a better look at a accord with nav. http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/...h-view-480.jpg
That is a dash pic with out nav i think. It looks ALOT smaller.

LOL your going to HAVE to cut, then fill with bondo, then sand and prep for paint, then finally paint, and that's making it sound stupid simple. There is no way to get around that and have it looks halfway decent, your not going to find something that just fits perfectly. I know no one likes to hear this, but this is way out of your league. If it's really is important to you, save the money and take it to a shop to get fabbed in. If you attempt this yourself, even with a friend that thinks he "knows what he's doing", you'll end up spending more money taking it to a shop to fix what you messed up. Honestly it's not a bad idea, just may cost more money than it's worth.

You know this is going to be my last post here. You should not all ways bash people. Thinking they don't have the skills, To take on these kinds of projects. I'm sure if i wanted to do a custom fab. I would be able to.
I work on airplanes for a living just FYI.
The reason that i don't want to cut. Why when the stock nav has a 7" screen. Just change out the bezel to that one. But since you know everything i'm sure you will bash that. Some people on these forums are funny.

No you just don't understand, I know exactly what it takes to do. If you have to ask it's out of your league. Working on planes is not going to give you the skills or the experience necessary to do a proper job. If your a fabricator and not a mechanic, then I'm sure you can whip up a nice frame to secure it, but the body work is where your going to be lacking. Even if you worked at a body shop, and worked with bondo and such flawlessly, you would then have to sit down and learn how to fabricate. This not a task that is just done by anyone, unless your willing to spend the money on practice pieces, and do it a few times. You will NOT pull it off correctly your first time. That is unless your looking to jerry rig it, then of course you can do that. What I'm talking about is good looking install, not perfect but good looking.
But to the point, how do I know you can't do it? You've already proven you don't have the mind or thought process of a fabricator. Your just some kid with a good idea, but not the skills to match. Honestly I like your idea and I think you should go for it if you can afford it, just don't butcher your dash trying to do it yourself.
Now why does what I think or say matter so much to you? You know damn well I'm not stopping you, just informing you of a mistake. I actually want you to try, just so you can see who was right... Bear in mind nothing frustrates me more than persistent ignorance.
Still think you have the knowledge or mindset to pull it off? I'll leave you with this comment, maybe with some time and experience you will get it...

That is a pic of the 8th gen dash with nav. If a person didn't get nav like me the nav screen just shows time and radio info.
