Default 2002 Accord Won't Shift Out Of Park

Help please.
2002 Accord will not shift out of park. Yes, I did try depressing the brake.

This is a common problem actually. On your gearbox, you will see a little slot next to the shifter, like a plastic tab. That is the shift lock release. Pop out the tab and stick a key or a screw driver in the shift lock release and see if that works. A blown out brake light or brake light fuse might also be the problem. Hope this helps. Also check to see if your brake lights work. Another common problem is a bad switch at the brake pedal.
