So i did the swap from an automatic to 5spd BUT it dosent start all the time, i bought a new starter and it turns over, but it dosent start. every once in a while when im turning the key the engine will sound like one or two cylinders fired but wont fire up. I have a check engine light on when it dosent want to start but its not there when it does. I also replace the ignition coil, wires, plugs rotor, and cap so do i need a new distributor completely? I'm just trying to narrow down what it could be. Also im still running my obd1 automatic computer. could that fix it if i change it out? there kinda scarce since i Have a 94 Accord ex, the vtec standard is giving me head aches tracking down a OEM one, if anyone has any ideas for a chipped one too let me know.

 

I would find a 5speed ecu.
What is your CEL on for? Did you check your codes? If not start there.
From what I remember you have to do something to the auto ecu to make it work right. But I can't remember 100% maybe try searching for that.
I will look on the other forums I'm on for a ecu for you and shoot you a link when and if I find one. Also check ebay and craigslist
