Would a transmission mount cause vibration at idle? Also, would it cause the transmission to thump going into reverse? and jump changing gears?

im not sure about the jumping gears... but the vibration and reverse... sounds like ur rear or front mount is busted...

 

also besides checking all the mounts make sure that the idle speed is set correctly 700-750..
also on the auto tranny make sure that there is vacc to the hose going to the diaphram at the rear mount and that the diaphram holds vacc and not leaking
