RE: "03 EX - radio/cd player display lights.
I have seen this increasingly at the shop I work at. I work at a Honda dealer satelite shop and we send them to the dealership whether in warranty or not. Our service department has been working on the goodwill end for the customers.

OK, here's the deal. Honda is aware that the display on the entire radio section display of the 2003 Honda Accords eventually "burns out". There was a service bulletin issued to all of the dealers, but no recall was made. I have 44,000 miles on my Accord, which is leased for four years. The dealer tried to tell me that I would have to pay $1200 to have the radio replaced. I called American Honda and asked to file a claim (complaint). I was given the name of my case manager, and she contacted me two days later. She instructed me to take it BACK to the dealer, and have them make a "ticket" on it to verify that it was the fault of the radio, and that I just didn't screw it up by something I did. I went in the same day. Honda will stand behind this problem, and will replace your radio at no cost to you. You just have to jump through their hoops in order to get it. Good luck. FFRN99@yahoo.com

My dealer has seen a few of these, including a work colleagues car. he had no worries about warranty - apparently out of warranty replacements consist of refurbished units - in warranty gets a new one. I just hope there hasn't been a peanut butter sandwich pushed in the CD slot on the one I will get???

I think I saw the same videos you are referencing. The 2.3 amp fuse that needs to be replaced, which appears to be the problem. Should you or any one you might know with this problem need the fuse, please feel free to contact me.
