Default 02 Accord tranny?

Hey so I have an automatic 2002 honda accord LX with 120K on it, bout a little less than 3/4 being hwy mileage. when I'm cruising around 45-50 the car pulls, and jerks. The tachometer is also very choppy when it rises, And If i'm cruising around 65-70 and rev it 4000 or higher the car doesn't respond as the engine continues revving. Now the car was brought to honda for a new timing belt recently and they only said my catalytic converter needed to be replaced, but im thinking its the transmission. I'd appreciate any suggestions or Ideas on this, thanks.

Default tranny problem

yea, same old story...Honda and their terrible tranny's.I have a similar situation. Dealer quoted 2300 after Honda kicked in extended warranty and WOW 10%. 85k V6 Auto. Be careful with this not just any grease money can work on these tranny's. I found one outside of atlanta that used to work for honda that says its an lubrication problem and can do the job for 1400-1800. Still sucks..honda's are suppost to last. Good luck.

Hey, the american people got EXACTLY what they wanted.
They kept whining and crying to JD POWERS about the Honda trans that shifted under positive pressure,[1986 - 1997] because they wanted the GM Mushy $hit shift.
So in 98 Honda changed the trans configuration.
Consider all the 94-97 Transmissions still going strong with 1/2 million miles on them.
