During the day you can see the radio but at night when you turn the headlights on you can't see the radio screen but the fan control buttons light up. I've found some posts for repair but they state that there are no lights on the radio or fan control buttons so I'm not sure I have the same problem. Also, my wife says sometimes the light starts working. Here is the fix I found . Any suggestions?

 

There are a few videos showing essentially the same repair on the board. Below is a thread about the same issue. If you can solder, then you can either jump/bypass that component or solder in a replacement. I typically opt for replacing a part, because it is installed on the board for a reason, but it looks like others have had success by just jumping it. It all depends on your soldering skills. If you aren't able to do the repair, you can try getting a quote from an electronics repair shop. I'm not sure what they charge for this kind of work.

I'm just not sure i have the same problem because I can see the display during the day and when I put the lights on the climate control lights up but not the radio. In addition, the radio lights up once in a while.

 

I didn't hear back regarding my last concern,

See video. I did one on a 03 accord with wire and an inline resistor a few years ago and it's still working. It's easy to do. Cut wire in half solder the resistor onto the wires then solder it in the spot indicated on the video. Also I've used circuit protection fuse. It's similar to the one originally on the board. That takes a little more skill to replace but it's daily easy also.
