Default '07 V6 5AT shifting 1-3-2

'07 Accord V6 5AT with 85,000 miles. When driven around town with a light foot, after starting from a stop often it feels like the transmission shifts 1 to 3, then almost immediately into 2 upon "realizing" that 3 is too high a gear. This is my first Honda, so I don't know whether this is normal behavior or a known issue or a non-issue or what.

Other than that, the transmission seems to do fine, except engagement into Drive or Reverse is slow. I've done a few fluid changes with correct Honda fluid; none of what came out was alarming in terms of its color or smell, etc.

I've read recommendations to replace the 3rd- and 4th-gear pressure switches as periodic maintenance; might that address the weird 1-3-2 shifting?

Thanks for any advice!

Never replace parts without doing some testing first. The pressure switches should only be replaced if they are not working.

Stop by a parts store and have them scan for codes. Then post the actual code(s) on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, like P1234.

Thanks, PAhonda. I'm not one to randomly throw parts at a car; my understanding (from the likes of this page and this page and others, also search for "no code" on this page) is the pressure switches can go out of range enough to affect shift quality and other aspects of transmission behavior, without being far enough out to set a code.
