Sounded to me like the idle was too high after plugging the IACV back in. That was a bit strange. Even though you got it working, the way it responded doesn't sound right. So maybe there's some other problem that you might find down the road.

Also for anyone else who might read this thread, I wanted to say that it's not normal for you to NEED to lower the working idle after you're done setting the base idle.
