I just changed my spark plugs and was recommended by a friend to change my plug wires. I was told ngk makes some good wires but I am wounding if there are any better ones out there and where i could find them online.

Actually, the Honda factory wires seem to last forever. Got a reason to think they're no good? Clean em up with soap & water then dry very thoroughly.
You can damage the rubber insulation by cleaning with solvents. And the spark can leak out & travel across a dirty surface of the rubber insulation.
There's on-line dealers that might be cheaper than your local dealer.

a couple others that I don't remember right now, but maybe your local dealer will match the discounted price??

Well, they're 13 years old so it's possible that they need to be replaced. Personally I like to check whether something actually needs to be replaced.
Easy way to check plug wires & distributor cap is to look for arcing.
- Cold engine and complete darkness, like maybe 3am.
- Open the hood & turn off all the lights.
- Start the engine & look for anything flashing or glowing.
A corona discharge is like a dull blue glow, indicating a little leakage through the insulation. Actual visible arcing is even worse. Spray a little water from a windex bottle to see if anything lights up...
