2000 Honda Accord v6 intermittently won't start
Hello, I'm new to the forum and thank you for having me. I have a 2000 Honda Accord v6. Intermittently, it won't start. The engine will rev and then it will die. I usually have to wait for several minutes and try again. At times, kicking the area just above the brake pads (maybe it works or maybe it's just frustration) will cause the car to roar into action. I have also tried jiggling the key in the ignition but it doesn't help. I already had the fuel pump relay valve changed. I had the 02 valve and EGr valve addressed.
What could the matter be?

Main Fuel Relay is common reason for your problem. When you start engine, turn keyswitch to On and listen carefully for fuel pump to run for 2-3 secs and go off. If you don't hear the fuel pump and no-start occurs, main fuel relay is likely. It is under the driver's side dash. See attached graphic.

I'm the slow one here.....
First, what exactly is happening in these "no start" situations.....the starter does nothing,,,,,the starter spins the engine but it will not fire up and run?
Or is is a.....I drive the car for ~20 minutes, engine is at normal op temp....shut it off and go into "the store". Come back out 5~10 minutes later and the starter spins the engine but it just won't run right....or runs for a second or two and dies.

hey having the same proble i changed my fuel pump relay and check the fuel pump it works but it wont turn over now. i have no idea what the hell is going on cause all i did was change the relay it worked before. I just wanted to start my car when it was hot outside.
One of the inputs to the main relay which is fed by (F4) is hot even with the ignition off. Don't know if it happened but you can easily short that line out if something metal touched the connector and popped the fuse when you were changing the relay. If so you won't get any power to your injectors. Ask me how I know.
