Default 2002 Accord speedometer and odometer not functioning

My manual transmission 2002 Honda Accord speedometer and odometer are not working. I pulled out the VSS and inspected it and it appeared to be in working condition, that being said I have not yet tried replacing it. I did however replace the instrument cluster itself and have the mileage updated to match mine on the new cluster. The cruise control is also not functioning, but some gauges on the instrument panel are functioning (gas level, tachometer). Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

Really sounds like the VSS. Visually OK but did you have a good look at the wiring harness for the VSS?

Non-working VSS should throw an error code (P0500, P0501 or something like that). Is the check-engine light on?

As soon as you mentioned the cruise control not working I knew it was the VSS, or wiring to it. The rest of the dash issues are probably a blown fuse or something like that.
