2006 Accord Manual Transmission/Clutch Jerking
Hello,
I have a manual 2006 Honda Accord LX. It has 75000 miles. At 61,000 my clutch died. I paid $1100 for a new clutch kit and flywheel resurface.
Lately, past 2 months, it's progressively jerking pretty hard at idle -When you initially give it gas. -When you decelerate with RPM above 2500 and happens mostly in low gears.
It doesn't slip gears. It doesn't grind. And it seems like it's a bit harder to shift into 3rd gear.
Pretty much, the car is not smooth drive at all.
I am having the business who replaced the clutch take a look at it tomorrow. Their repair is still under warranty.
My questions are...
Does this sound like a clutch problem or transmission problem?
Does this sound like it should be covered under their warranty?
I don't want to get ripped off because I'm not car savvy.
Thanks for your input.

I'm agree with OHD, this is a tough call.
Sounds something like what my 95 would occasionally do while driving, and I never figured it out. Maybe the PCM detected a problem and stored a code that will help figure out what is going on.
61K is early for a clutch to fail. Also, 14K is way too early for this clutch to fail.
Hopefully the problem will happen so the shop can identify the problem.

Agree with everyone else, only thought is that there is a possibility the flywheel was cut too much. Let us know what you find.
