Default 2006 weak air conditioning

Its getting hot here in NY. Today was 80 degrees. I feel like my AC is not as cold as it used to be. I have a new pollen filter in place and when I crank the AC, it takes forever for the car to cool. The speed of the sir is fine. I have no tint and black leather.

Also, the air gets nice and cold on highways. City driving shows a noticeable difference.

1. Any tips ?
2. Anyone else feel the same ?
3. If i take it to Honda, what will they do ?

When you first get in the car run the A/C on Fresh air and High fan speed, that will help to clear out the 5 million cuft of hot air under the dash.
Now when the interior temp gets down from broiling to warmish, switch to Recirculate and Lower fan speed, this gives the Evaporator a better "chill" condition and uses precooled interior air thru the evaporator core.
Before you reach your destination turn off the A/C and go to fresh air to help get the condensation cleared from the evaporator case, this will keep the evap from getting moldy and smelling like week oldgym socks.
stick a thermometer in the center vent and see what temp you can get on low fan recirculate. 40-45 degree is about normal.
