After my distributer failed I had similar symptoms on my '91 LX after about 6 month. I Pulled the codes and it indicated a temp sensor. Turns out the jerk of a mechanic had clipped the locking feature on the sensor underneath the distributor. It is hard to find and impossible to see. (I think he set me up for return business...) I pushed it back in and the car ran like new. Before it ran so bad that I wanted to shoot the car. Idle only and stumbling upon takeoff. It would run perfect once under way. I did get another plug socket from a salvage yard and soldered it on to the harness, and all was well...
